<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development device capable of suppressing image defects by improving the followability of a supply toner amount to a consumption toner amount. <P>SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus 100 includes a photoreceptor drum 2, a development device 5, a toner supply device 22, a toner sensor 21 for detecting an amount of toner inside the development device 5, and a controller 50 which drives the toner supply device 22 for supplying of toner to the development device 5 for a development device driving period based on the detection result of the toner sensor 21 and stops driving of the toner supply device 22 for stopping supply of toner to the development device 5 for image non-formation period. If a toner amount inside the development device 5 detected by the toner sensor 21 decreases to a value equal to or less than a predetermined threshold level, the controller 50 drives the development device 5 and the toner supply device 22 even for the image non-formation period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
