<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispose a control box at a position with excellent maintenance workability while suppressing the oppression of a storage space as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: An automatic safe-deposit box device allows the utilization of a safe-deposit box inside a vault in a utilization booth. The automatic self-deposit box device includes: a storage shelf 12; a shelf side moving mechanism part for taking the safe-deposit box in and out of the storage shelf 12 and conveying the safe-deposit box inside the vault; and a control box 96 storing a drive control part for executing the drive control of at least a part in the shelf side moving mechanism part. On a part corresponding to an opening for maintenance and a maintenance door provided on a back surface sidewall part facing the back surface of the storage shelf 12 in the vault, the storage shelf 12 is provided with a space 120 for maintenance.
