BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE FRACTION OF EURYCOMA LONGIFOLIA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new use and a new product, having biological activities such as the synthesis and release of testosterone and the increase of sperm activity and sperm number, and used for treating of sexual function diseases or male sterility.

SOLUTION: A composition includes as a physiologically active ingredient a peptide having a molecular weight of about 4300 dalton and isolated from the root extract of a plant, Eurycoma longifolia (also known as Tongkat Ali in Malaysia) with reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) or size exclusion chromatography.
