<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program of a portable device and the like capable of selecting a device that a user desires to connect with simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: A mobile phone 10 includes an acceleration sensor 26 and the like for receiving operation from a user, and a wireless transmission/reception unit 15 for wirelessly communicating with an MFP. A CPU 11 stores MFP identification information 230 received from a wireless network. One of the MFPs with which the MFP identification information 230 is associated is temporarily selected as a temporarily selected MFP. A command is transmitted to the temporarily selected MFP, allowing the temporarily selected MFP to perform temporarily selected status notification operation to notify that the MFP is temporarily selected. In response to reception of predetermined operation in the acceleration sensor 26 or the like, or a lapse of a predetermined period of time without the reception of the predetermined operation in the acceleration sensor 26 or the like, the temporarily selected MFP is determined as a target MFP to be subjected to data communication.
