PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION CONTAINING MICROSPHERES LOADED WITH OLANZAPINE AS AN ACTIVE INGREDIENT

PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing olanzapine-containing polymeric microsphere is provided to minimize waste water. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating bipolar mania, bipolar disorder, seizure, obsessive/compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, post traumatic distress syndrome, extreme shyness, diabetic nerve pain or depression contains olanzapine-containing polymeric microsphere. A method for preparing the microsphere comprises: a step of mixing water insoluble organic solvent and dispersion solvent; a step of mixing the polymer compounds, olanzapine, and water insoluble organic solvent to prepare a dispersion phase; a step of the dispersion phase in the dispersion solvent to prepare O/W(oil-in-water type), O/O(oil-in-oil type), or W/O/W(water-in-oil-in-water type) emulsion; and a step of maintaining the emulsion at 0°C-10°C.
