PURPOSE: A bandwidth request channel allocation method including a relay and an apparatus thereof are provided to efficiently allocate a bandwidth request channel. CONSTITUTION: A BS(Base Station) allocates a first BRCH(Bandwidth Request Channel) for bandwidth request of a terminal and a second BRCH for bandwidth of a relay station(S100). An opportunity index is allocated to the first BRCH and the second BRCH. The opportunity index which is allocated to the second BRCH starts after the opportunity index which is allocated to the first BRCH.
