AZO DYE INK COMPOSITION AND INKJET PRINTING INK SET USING SAME

Provided is an ink composition, which contains the monoazo dye represented by general formula (1), water, a dispersing agent, and a water-soluble organic solvent, as a red ink composition suited to an ink set having a wide color reproduction range for inkjet printing, particularly having a wide color reproducibility in the hue range of red-violet-blue-cyan, and also having favorable lightfastness. Furthermore, provided are: an ink set provided with the ink composition; an inkjet printing method using same; and a dyed article obtained by means of the method. In the formula, R1 and R2 each independently indicate a hydrogen atom, a phenyl group that may have a substituent group, an alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms and that may have a substituent group, or an aralkyl group. R3 indicates a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a nitro group, a cyano group, an amino group, or an alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms; R3 may be the same or different when there are a plurality thereof; and n indicates an integer from 1 to 5.
