摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedometer that measures the number of steps when a user is walking and the user is running. <P>SOLUTION: In a pedometer, a calculation part calculates the magnitude of acceleration of at least one direction in mutually independent three directions and calculates the composite value which indicates the magnitude of the acceleration of the three directions based on the calculated magnitude of acceleration and the acceleration of the independent direction to at least one direction. A detection part for the number of steps for detecting the number of steps based on the composite value and a display part for displaying information on a display surface are included. An acceleration sensor is constituted by an MEMS triaxial acceleration sensor or three monoaxial acceleration sensors provided in the three axial directions, which are mutually orthogonal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
