METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING TOUCH PANEL, TOUCH PANEL AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a touch panel, which can maintain display qualities of a display image displayed on a display device suppress generation of Newton rings even when the panel is used in combination with the display device.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a touch panel includes steps of: preparing a solution containing a silane coupling agent; applying the solution on a surface of a first substrate having a hydroxyl group on the surface; chemically coupling the silane coupling agent with the surface of the first substrate to form projections having a silicon oxide skeleton and an organic functional group in the structure; and disposing a second substrate spaced from the first substrate and opposing to the surface of the first substrate where the projections are formed.
