<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type granulator that requires less maintenance frequency and keeps adhesion prevention effects to an object to be adhered over a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The drum type granulator includes a rotary drum. The granulator is provided for producing, within the drum, a granular substance from a raw material mixture of an iron oxide-containing material and a carbonaceous material.
