<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical fiber tape in which a plurality of coated optical fibers coated with a resin material are arranged in parallel to one another and adjoining coated optical fibers are connected by a connecting part made of a resin material, for avoiding such probabilities that upon dividing coated optical fibers of a completed optical fiber tape at a predetermined location, the coated optical fibers are unintentionally split at a location other than a desired location, or the coated optical fiber is erroneously cut or the resin material coating the coated optical fiber is damaged or peeled. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an optical fiber tape, in which a plurality of coated optical fibers 1 coated with a resin material are arranged in parallel to one another and adjoining optical fibers 1 are intermittently connected by a connecting part 3 made of a resin material, comprises: applying a first resin material to form a coating 2 of the coated optical fiber 1 on the fiber; intermittently applying a second resin material to form the continuous part 3, the material different from the first resin material, on the fiber; and curing each resin material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
