The method involves supplying electrical power to electrical consumers by a photovoltaic plant (12) and/or a public power supply network (11). A momentarily provisionable amount of electrical power of the photovoltaic plant is detected. An operation of the consumers is automatically and continually controlled until the amount of power-deployable photovoltaic plant exceeds a predeterminable amount of power threshold value during a presence of a consumer request for the amount of power-consuming operation. The electrical power is produced from sunlight through the photovoltaic plant. The electrical consumers are selected from a group consisting of a washing machine (3), a laundry dryer (4), a dishwasher (5), a heating rod (6) and a lighting unit (7). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a control device for controlling a distribution of electrical power to a consumer network in a building (2) a device for providing electrical power to a consumer network in a building.
