PURPOSE: An automatic focusing device and a method thereof are provided to remove a deviation according to a user when manually adjusting a focus and to automatically adjust the focus of a camera module and a field of a view corresponding to the field of the view of a user without separating the camera module. CONSTITUTION: An automatic focusing device comprises a variable focus lens, a camera module, an analyzing member, a control member, and a driving member. The camera module obtains images of a chart(50) having a predetermined pattern through the variable focus lens. The analyzing member analyzes the obtained images of the cart for adjusting. The control member generates control signals so that the variable focus lens has an optimal focus distance based on the analysis of the analyzing member. The driving member adjusts a position of the variable focus lens according to the control signals, thereby controlling the focus distance. |
