METHOD TO CONTROL EFFICIENCY OF KILN TO ROAST IRON-ORE PELLETS

FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: process of roasting iron-ore pellets with different properties at a roast machine is controlled. Iron-ore pellets are sent via process zones of drying, pre-heating and roasting of a roast machine. The maximum hourly efficiency of a roast machine is limited with working indices of a limiting process zone defined by means of calculation analysis of operation of all process zones of a roast machine based on current data on its operation. Parameters are determined for temperature and filtration mode along the length of the limiting zone, providing for maximum possible working efficiency of the limiting zone with the appropriate increase of roast machine efficiency. Operation of the limiting zone is optimised with account of measured temperatures along the length of the roast machine in gas and air chambers and the calculated temperature field in a layer of iron-ore pellets, and the mode of roast machine operation is varied to produce pellets of the specified strength with account of the specified parameters. ^ EFFECT: invention makes it possible to achieve best performance working indices of a roast machine when manufacturing pellets with specified properties.
