<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the usability of a vertical cooking heater where a plurality of heating parts are arranged in the longitudinal direction. <P>SOLUTION: In the vertical cooking heater where a plurality of heating parts are arranged in the longitudinal direction, markings 21, 31 indicating the heating regions are applied to a top plate 11 provided on the top surface of the body at the positions directly above the heating parts. On the front of the cooking heater, an operation panel 22 corresponding to the heating part on the near side out of the plurality of heating parts is arranged above, and an operation panel 32 corresponding to the heating part on the rear side is arranged below.
