<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a combustion control device for achieving prevention of degradation of combustion characteristics due to deposition of carbon deposits in a fuel injection hole and the surrounding thereof by simple control processing without causing an increase of product cost due to an increase of design man-hours. <P>SOLUTION: The combustion control device for an internal combustion engine, which switches between stratified combustion control and uniform combustion control according to shaft rotation speed and a combustion load of the internal combustion engine, has a counter for adding up a fuel injection frequency for each combination of a plurality of combustion operation ranges distinguished previously on the basis of the shaft rotation speed and the combustion load and the stratified combustion control or the uniform combustion control, and prohibits the stratified combustion control based on a summation value of the counter, and starts removal operation control for removing deposited materials such as carbon of the fuel injection hole and the surrounding thereof of the fuel injection valve. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
