METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING A VEHICLE THEFT PREVENTION SERVICE

The present invention relates to a method and system for providing a vehicle theft prevention service. According to the present invention, it can be estimated whether a vehicle such as a two-wheeled vehicle has been stolen even when the vehicle is transported without being started, and the location of the vehicle is reported to a user when it is estimated that the vehicle is stolen in order to confirm whether the vehicle has been stolen. The system for providing a vehicle theft prevention service according to the present invention comprises an electronic key and a theft monitoring device. The theft monitoring device is installed on the vehicle, and presumes that the vehicle is stolen when an acceleration-sensed value for monitoring movement of the vehicle is greater than a predetermined value, whereupon an alert message is transmitted to the electronic key or to the outside. The electronic key outputs an alert signal when the alert message is received. Herein, the outside may be a user terminal or a server.
