The method involves determining a course of a driving condition (23) of a motor car (1) by a data detecting device (3). A behavior modification suggestion (25) for a driver is determined based on the course of the driving condition by a data analysis unit (5). A course of an environment variable e.g. traffic sign, describing environment of the motor car is determined. A driving style and speed errors of the driver are determined based on the course of the driving condition and the course of the environment variable. A rating of the driving style is determined. An independent claim is also included for a device arrangement for supporting a learning operation of a driver of a motor car.
