CONTROL DEVICE FOR CYLINDER INJECTION GASOLINE ENGINE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress PM emissions from a cylinder injection gasoline engine while minimizing the worsening of fuel efficiency, even during accelerating operation when air-fuel mixture in a cylinder is liable to become rich.

SOLUTION: In the cylinder injection gasoline engine, an exhaust valve closing timing is set to be earlier during accelerating operation to increase internal EGR and raise fuel injection pressure. In this case, the extent of raise of the fuel injection pressure is determined on the basis of a current exhaust valve closing timing.
