The strip has two mutually parallel flat band shaped conductors (5.1, 5.2) made of an electrically conductive material. First broad sides of the conductors are arranged at a surface side of a plastic film (3). Second broad sides of the conductors are mounted on a surface mounted device (SMD) component (8) and another SMD component, where the conductors contact each component. The film is coated with an adhesive layer. Contact members (6, 7) made from the conductive material are applied on the second broad sides of the conductors related to longitudinal axes (L) of the conductors. The components are LEDs or electric resistors. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a SMD equipped foil strip.
