FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to abrasion and may be used in production of abrasive articles with coated abrasive particles. Article comprises matrix material and abrasive particles pressed in the latter. Abrasive particles feature core-shell structure wherein core is made up of polycrystalline aluminium alpha-oxide whereon shell is applied. Shell layer comprises material selected from the GROUP including silicon oxide and zirconium oxide. Core of polycrystalline aluminium alpha-oxide comprises grains with mean size not exceeding 500 nm. ^ EFFECT: better chemical and physical properties as well as grinding properties. ^ 15 cl, 10 dwg
