PURPOSE: An imaging sonar is provided to be easily manufactured by alleviate a limit applied to an interval between elements of a receiving sound transducer. CONSTITUTION: A receiving sound transducer arranges one dimensional arrangement structure(A1,A2) to cross each other. The size of the elements or the gap between the elements in the receiving sound transducer is kept constant and the gap between elements gets smaller than half-wave length. If the receiving sound transducer is arranged in a two-dimensional cross structure, an effect of arranging A1 elements and A2 elements at a small interval is created.
