<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens which is suitable to a photography system using a solid state imaging device, consists of a small number of constituent lenses, is compact and low-cost, and has a high variable power ratio and superior optical performance, and an imaging apparatus including the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the zoom lens which consists of a first lens group with negative refracting power, a second lens group with positive refracting power, and a third lens group with positive refracting power in order from an object side to an image side, and varies intervals between the respective lens groups for zooming, the first lens group consists of one negative lens 11 and one positive lens 12 in order from the object side to the image side, the second lens group consists of a positive lens 21, a positive lens 22, a negative lens 23, and a positive lens 24 in order from the object side to the image side, and for zooming from a wide-angle end to a telephoto end, the third lens group moves toward the image side, the focal length f3 of the third lens group and the focal length fW of the whole zoom lens system at the wide-angle end being suitably set. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
