The exhaust system component comprises an exhaust gas-conducting unit (1) and an insulation (2) for the exhaust gas-conducting unit. A sensor unit (3) is mounted in the area of the insulation in the exhaust gas-conducting unit. The sensor unit comprises a connecting piece (5), which is firmly connected with an outer wall (4) of the exhaust gas-conducting unit. The insulation is clamped in the area of the sensor unit between the connecting piece and a sensor (6).
