(A) An antifibrinolytically active isomer of 4-aminomethylcyclohexane carboxylic acid (I). (B) Pharm. prepns. contg. active (I). (C) Process for the prepn. and conversion of the antifibrinolytically inactive isomer of (I) into the active form of at least 90% purity. Treatment of menstrual and surgical bleeding. The unit dosage is from 100-1000 mg. as tablets, capsules, and elixirs for oral use or as a soln. for parenteral use. The isomer of (I) assaying at least 90% antifibrinolytically active material; the isomer moving 135 mm. in 200 min. in a high voltage electrophoresis system on paper at pH 4.5 at 50 V/cm. and 5 mA./cm. as compared with a movement of 25 mm. for alanine. Unit dosage forms contg. 100-1000 mg. active cpd. per unit.
