A cell culture flask comprises one or more cell culture trays each comprising a plurality of individual cell culture growth cavities. An outer protective housing is provided. An interface allows filling and draining of the flask. The flask is arranged such that it can be filled with an appropriate amount of cell culture medium in use, such that each individual cell culture growth cavity contains a controlled depth of cell culture medium and a gap for gas above said culture medium and each individual cell culture growth cavity is in gaseous communication with all other cell culture growth cavities on the flask. An assembly of flasks comprises two or more cell culture flasks in gaseous communication. |
