PURPOSE: An active sonar system and an impedance matching method are provided to improve output performance and detection performance. CONSTITUTION: A transmission part of an active sonar system(100) comprises a transmitter(110), a transducer(120), and an impedance matching circuit(130). The transmitter is modeled with input power and input impedance. The transducer converts an electric signal of the transmitter into a sound wave or vice versa. The impedance matching circuit transmits the energy of the transmitter to the transducer with high efficiency.
