PURPOSE: A device for locking the glove box of a vehicle is provided to reduce the thickness of the cover of the glove box since a locking part is installed outside an external casing of the glove box. CONSTITUTION: A device for locking the glove box of a vehicle comprises support brackets(33,34), first and second locking pieces, a push knob(39), a direction switching gear, a movable connection piece, and a connecting rod(45). The support brackets are fixed to the left and right of the external casing(32) of the glove box. The first and second locking pieces are installed on the left and right support brackets to be able to move to the left and right. The right end of the first locking piece and the left end of the second locking piece are protruded to the inside of the external casing of the glove box and are respectively locked to the glove box. The push knob cancels the locking of the first and second locking pieces. |
