The drive has a commutator motor (1) including a motor shaft (4) that is rotatably mounted on axially opposing sides (AS, BS) of a brush system in shaft bearings (9, 10) covered by bearing shields (7, 8). A damping system (14) is arranged on a bearing side of each shaft bearing facing away from the bearing shield to dampen sound e.g. bearing play-related contact noise and vibration or humming noise. The system has a sealing disk and a sliding plate that is turned towards the shaft bearings and axially displaceable on the shaft. A spring element is arranged between the disk and the plate.
