The seat occupancy switch (10) has an electrical switching device that is arranged in the housing (12). A movable actuating element (14) is arranged in the housing corresponding to electrical switching device. A flat spring (38) is arranged on the surface of circuit board (36) in the electrical switching device and is deformed for switching the electrical switching device. The switching contacts (62,64) are provided on the circuit board. An independent claim is included for vehicle seat.
