When an input electric power varies, the apparatus & method detects the variations of the electric power, and generates a control signal for driving the burner motor according to the variations. The apparatus comprises the electric power source (1); a means (1) for setting a reference temperature and operational conditions; a sensor (2) for detecting a current room temperature; a microprocessor (4) for comparing the current detected room temperature with the set reference temperature, and generating the control signal for driving the burner motor; a signal comparator including a bridge rectifier (BD2), a condensor (C3), resistors (R5,R6), and a transistor (TR1).
