PURPOSE: A pointing device using a laser scanner and a pressure sensor is provided to enable a user to select various menus and icons on a digital TV by a 3D pointing device, thereby enabling the user to easily execute a command. CONSTITUTION: A laser emitting unit(11) vertically and horizontally emits a laser beam to a pointing device(13). The pointing device sends a message through an IR(Infrared) transmitter wherein the message is received when the laser beam is received. An IR receiver(12) measures the angle of the laser beam when the message is received and transmits information about the angle to a digital TV set(10). A pressure sensor(14) measures grabbing power of a hand and transmits button data through the IR transmitter. |
