APPARATUS FOR REDUCTING NONUNIFROM FLOW OF MOLTEN STEEL IN THE MOLD AND METHOD THEREFOR

PURPOSE: A device and a method for reducing drift current of molten steel in a mold are provided to improve the quality of molten steel by blocking the inflow of mold powder and air bubbles. CONSTITUTION: A device for reducing drift current of molten steel in a mold comprises an electromagnetic coil(20), a temperature sensor(30), and a control unit(40). The electromagnetic coil is installed on the right and left outer wall of a mold in the longitudinal direction of the mold and controls the acceleration and deceleration of molten steel discharge from a nozzle(1) to the mold. The temperature sensor is installed on the right and left sides of the mold. The control unit controls the electromagnetic coil to apply an electromagnetic field to the molten steel discharged from the nozzle according to the temperatures sensed by the temperature sensor.
