The insulation unit (30) comprising a vacuum insulation panel (40) and an insulation plate (50) with an insulating filler material is provided with a profiled cutout (54) for a holding section (38) of a fastening element (20), with this cutout positioned so that it edges in the insulation direction (D) coincide with the corresponding edges of vacuum insulation panels. Independent claims are also included for (a) a heat insulation system based on the proposed insulation unit; (b) a method for producing the proposed insulation unit.
