PURPOSE: A rubber composition for tire is provided to improve rolling resistance property while maintaining reinforcing properties, and to ensure excellent abrasion resistance, braking ability and fuel efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A rubber composition for tire comprises 100 parts by weight of a base rubber, 1-150 parts by weight of reinforcing filler, and 1-10 parts by weight of nanodiamond. The nanodiamond has the particle size of 1-100 nm, aggregate size of 1-450 nm, and nitrogen surface area per gram of 100-800 m^2/g. The nanodiamond is surface-modified with one functional group selected from the group consisting of a hydroxyl group, carbonyl group, carboxyl group, carboxyl group, alcohol group, amine group, amide group, nitrile group, methane group, and combinations thereof.
