PURPOSE: An electrophoretic image display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase stability and reliability of electrophoretic dispersing fluid included in a lower substrate. CONSTITUTION: Electrophoretic dispersing fluid includes a plurality of charging particles(150) and a dielectric solvent(160). A pixel area is filled with the electrophoretic dispersing fluid. A sealant layer is formed on a partition wall(130) and the electrophoretic dispersing fluid. The sealant layer seals the electrophoretic dispersing fluid. An upper substrate is bonded with a lower substrate. The sealant layer is made of materials whose specific gravity is lower than specific gravity of the dielectric solvent.
