PURPOSE: A pot roll shaft part of a plating apparatus and a coating method for the same are provided to reduce the abrasion of a pot roll bearing by minimizing the surface roughness of a coating layer and securing uniform distribution of WC(Tungsten Carbide). CONSTITUTION: A coating method for a pot roll shaft part of a plating apparatus is as follows. A coating layer(30) is formed by spraying a base material including WC powder on the surface of a pot roll shaft part through a laser cladding process using a diode layer or fiber laser.
