A method for processing an extended preview function is provided to offer a screen capture function and web scrap through a file storing function for printing by extending a preview function supported from a printer driver. A preview window is popped up and a printing paper is previously set in a working window(220). If the popped-up previously window is activated, an image of a working screen is edited in the previously window by being switched into a screen capture mode(240). An object of the edited screen is separately stored according to a format(260). In case that the popped-up preview window is inactivated, a window screen linked with the working window in real-time is kept. The object is stored by selectively using an image or file format, and is stored as a scrap file supporting a web hyper-terminal by storing link information together when the object is stored in the file format(290).
