SYSTEM FOR INTERPOLATION OF 3D IMAGE AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A three-dimensional image interpolation system and a method thereof are provided to previously determine an interpolation method for the restoration of a three-dimensional image and to adaptively determine a plurality of interpolation methods. CONSTITUTION: A two-dimensional image data generating unit(11) converts three-dimensional image data into two-dimensional image data. An interpolation mode determining unit(12) determines an interpolating method for the restoration of the three-dimensional image data. A transmitting unit(13) transmits the two-dimensional image data to a receiving side. An interpolating unit(14) performs interpolation according to a transmitted interpolation method.
