PURPOSE: A portable computer having a keyboard sterilizing function is provided to safely sterilize a keyboard and an adjacent area by selectively emitting an ultraviolet ray. CONSTITUTION: An ultraviolet ray LED(Light Emitting Diode)(303) is installed to the side of a light guide plate(207). If a cover of a portable computer is closed, the ultraviolet ray LED is turned on. The ultraviolet ray LED is arranged to the rear side of the light guide plate. The ultraviolet ray LED is arranged to the side of the light guide plate.
