An aspect of the present invention is a method for producing a resin film, wherein, in the casting step of a solution-casting film formation process: a dope (16) is discharged from the discharge opening (21a) of a casting die (20) and is cast onto a support (11); a solvent (35) capable of dissolving a transparent resin is made to flow from positions above the discharge opening (21a) of the casting die (20), over the outer surface of the casting die (20), and down from the opposite end sections, in the length direction, of the discharge opening (21a) of the casting die (20); and the casting die (20) used herein is a casting die in which the surface energy of the outer surface thereof in a first region, which is a region surrounded by the position above each end section in the length direction of the discharge opening (21a) of the casting die (20) and said end section in the length direction of the discharge opening (21a) of the casting die (20), is 10 to 30 mN/m higher than the surface energy thereof in a second region, which is a region more toward the central section in the length direction of the discharge opening (21a) of the casting die (20) than the first region.
