[Problem] To selectively display an image in two dimensions or three dimensions while alleviating the load on an observer with regard to a display device provided with a display unit having two display screens. [Solution] A display unit (43) is supported in a rotatable manner so that the angle (a) formed by two display screens (43a, 43b) can change and such that the two display screens (43a, 43b) neighbor one another in the up and down direction or in the right and left direction. The angle (a) formed by the two display screens (43a, 43b) and the direction (ß) in which the two display screens neighbor one another are detected. Based on the detection results, an image is displayed in three dimensions when the two display screens (43a, 43b) neighbor one another while forming a predetermined angle in the up and down direction, and the image is displayed in two dimensions when the two display screens (43a, 43b) neighbor one another in the right and left direction.
