PURPOSE: A nucleic acid molecule which induces RNAi is provided to enhance gene suppression efficiency and to suppress target gene. CONSTITUTION: A nucleic acid molecule which induces RNAi comprises a first strand of 24-121nt containing a part of region which is complementary to a target nucleic acid; and a second strand of 13-21nt having a part which forms complementary binding of the target nucleic acid and complementary region. The length of the part of the region is 19-21 nts. The target nucleic acid includes mRNA, microRNA, piRNA(piwi-interacting RNA), coding DNA, or non-coding DNA sequence. A composition for suppressing gene expression contains the nucleic acid molecule induces RNAi. |
