The device has a set of separate input beam paths (9) and an output beam path (10) for combining a set of input beams to form an output beam. A set of Risley- prism pairs (1) is assigned to each input beam path and deflects the input beam along adjustable direction. A beam position measuring system (13) is arranged in the output beam path and provided in connection with a position sensitive detector or camera. A power measuring system is arranged in the output beam path for measuring light power of the output beam.
