Double-sided surface grinding machine

The grinding machine (10) has two grinding discs (12,22) which are driven in a movement plane (90). A workpiece holder (16) is provided for holding workpiece (36) in a working area (14) of grinding machine. The working area is limited by facing operative surfaces (20,24) of grinding discs. A holding unit (72) of workpiece holder is inclined with respect to movement plane and is displaced to staggered retaining plane (86), so that workpiece is inclined relative to the movement plane and one of the operative surfaces of grinding discs is machined. An independent claim is included for method for processing workpiece using grinding machine.
