PURPOSE: A concrete pavement transverse joint device is provided to prevent the shear destruction and fatigue of a pavement material. CONSTITUTION: A concrete pavement transverse joint device comprises a split plate(20). The split plate is buried in a concrete pavement body. A horizontal plate and a vertical plate(25) are welded and have a split plate. The bottom surface of the leveling plate is close to a roadbed. The upper end of the vertical plate is partly exposed to a joint groove. An expanded part and a contracted part are repetitively formed on both side end point of the leveling plate in order to expand and reduce the width of the coplanar leveling plate. A curved part is formed on the boundary portion of the width expansion part.
