The invention relates to a transportation unit (1) such as a wheelchair, a bed, a lift or the like. The transportation unit (1) is configured for transporting a disabled person, and comprises electrically controlled drive means (DM) for controlling and driving one or more wheels (2) of said transportation unit (1), and electric control means (CM) for control of said electrically controlled drive means (DM). The electric control means (CM) comprises a steering handle (3) configured for support of at least one hand of an assisting person. Further, the steering handle (3) is configured for transferring directional orders to an input device (4) of the electric control means (CM) via force restricting means (5). The invention also relates to a method of moving the transportation unit. |
