A connecting device 10, for a tubular handrail, comprises a main part 12 receivable within first and second handrail segments 34, 36 to be connected to each other. The connecting device further includes first and second fasteners 30, 32 co-operable with the main part. Each of the first and second fasteners 30, 32 can be urged relative to the main part 12 to engage the inside of the handrail segments 34, 36 to secure the first and handrail segments to the main part and thereby connect the first and second handrail segments to each other. |
