The invention relates to a method for producing sulfuric acid from hydrosulfuric gas being waste of oil processing. The invention can be used in oil processing, chemical and other industries. The method for producing sulfuric acid from hydrosulfuric gas comprising impurity nitrogen compounds (NH, HCN) includes denitrification of hydrosulfuric gas by pre-washing thereof with sulfuric acid diluted solution, then burning thereof producing roast gas comprising sulphur dioxide, nitric oxide and water vapors which is oxidized in the presence of water vapors to sulphur trioxide and nitric dioxide in a contact apparatus using vanadium catalyst. The contact gas is further subjected to condensing isolating sulfuric acid and purification exhaust gases from mist and splashes of sulfuric acid in electro filters or filters with fibrous or ceramic layers. The obtained sulfuric acid is cooled and subject to final treatment by diluted solution of sulfuric acid with dissolved ammonium salts therein produced after pre-washing. The invention provides to reduce the content of nitric oxides in sulfuric acid to 0.2-0.5 ppm (0.00002-0.00005 wt%).
