PURPOSE: An adhesion type polarizing plate and an image display device are provided to remove phase difference change of a transparent protective film and the phase difference change of an adhesive layer on the entire surface of the adhesion type polarizing plate. CONSTITUTION: An adhesion type polarizing plate(10) has a first transparent protective film(2) on one side of a polarizer(1). An adhesive layer(5) is formed on the transparent protective film. An adhesive layer is interposed between the polarizer and the first transparent protective film for lamination. A second transparent protective film(3) is laminated on the opposite side to the side on which the first transparent protective film of the polarizer is laminated. The adhesive layer contains acryl based polymer which contains acrylate as a monomer unit.
